A wave of panic spread among the inhabitants of several Nigerian cities after unknown people sent text messages warning that anyone will respond to a number ending with 09 114 will die. Rumors have produced such an effect that representatives of the national telecommunications in Nigeria had to announce publicly that it's not possible, informs BBC News. "Technically, it is possible that such a thing happen. It is therefore inconceivable that someone will die while receiving a call," said Reuben Muoka, spokesman of the Nigeria Communications Commission. He said that only very gullible people may consider such a rumor. The message, in which, depending on options, said they killed BA 7, BA 10 people after they responded to such a number, took effect in at least five of the southern states of Nigeria where many people I they called their loved ones and asked them not to respond to this issue.
