New York's mayor is afraid of riots: high unemployment rate could trigger similar protests in Europe

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, is concerned that high unemployment in the United States could lead to outbreak of riots similar to those in Europe and North Africa, according to CNN.
"We have a lot of kids who finish college and can not find work," Bloomberg said in a radio show broadcast Friday. "That's what happened in Cairo. That's what happened in Madrid. We do not want these riots here," he added.
"Public opinion is not happy. The public knows that there is something wrong with this country," he added, answering a question on poverty in the United States, which increased to 15.1 percent in 2010, reaching the highest level registered after 1933.
